Acctim and the British sunburst tradition

Acctim was a British clock brand producing decorative wall clocks through the 1960s and 1970s — the era when the teak sunburst became the defining wall object of mid century modern British interiors. Where Metamec dominated in volume, Acctim produced their sunburst designs in smaller quantities, making surviving examples in fine condition genuinely rare on the market today. This clock features a solid teak face — not a veneer, not a pressed wood substitute — with a natural grain that gives the surface a warmth and depth that photographs can only approximate.
