Adelco Wall Clock – 1960s Square Steel, Brushed Aluminium, Gothic Numerals

A bold and graphic vintage wall clock by Adelco — a less commonly found name in the British vintage clock market, and all the more interesting for it. The square steel case with rounded corners carries a brushed aluminium face panel behind a hinged convex glass, framing a white dial with one of the most characterful numeral styles of the era — large, boldly weighted Gothic-script Arabic numerals.

The chrome bezel is deep and substantial, and the hinged glass — a practical detail that allows easy hand-setting without removing the bezel — is a quality feature more commonly found on commercial and institutional clocks. The clock has been fitted with a new battery quartz movement and is ready to hang.
