Copper Crafts Zambia Starburst Wall Clock Oak Frame Malachite Markers Vintage 1960s
A genuinely rare piece — a square starburst wall clock made in Zambia by Copper Crafts Ltd, one of the country's most celebrated craft manufacturers of the 1960s and 1970s. Pure copper face, protected with Incralac lacquer as original, set within a solid oak case measuring 12 × 12 inches and 1.75 inches deep.
The starburst dial is etched directly into the copper with a clean white circle and radiating spike design. Hour positions are marked with real malachite teardrop cabochons — the deep green stone native to the Zambian Copperbelt, giving this clock a connection to its country of origin that's hard to find anywhere else. The border trim is embossed copper strip, original to the piece.
Both original hands are retained and fitted to a new quartz movement — keeping the authentic look while ensuring reliable timekeeping.
