Kienzle Zodiac Wall Clock: Rope Hung Wooden Case, Brass Symbols, Mid Century 1960s Quartz

A genuinely rare and collectible piece from Kienzle, one of Germany's most celebrated clock makers — a circular rope-hung wall clock with a full set of twelve raised brass zodiac symbol hour markers on a warm-grained wooden dial. Few clocks combine the mid-century obsession with astrology, natural materials and quality craft as elegantly as this one.

The circular wooden case (9.75 inches diameter) is finished in a warm honey tone, repolished and presented in excellent condition for its age. The 7.5-inch wooden dial carries all twelve zodiac symbols as individual cast brass figurines — Aries through Pisces, every one present and in excellent detail. Gold baton indices separate each sign, with matching gold-tone hands and the distinctive Kienzle script signature at the upper centre of the dial. A polished brass inner bezel ring and hinged glazed bezel complete the look. The original braided rope hanger terminates in a brass hanging ball — the complete nautical-meets-zodiac aesthetic fully intact.

Fitted with a new silent quartz movement and keeping perfect time. Original hands retained. The clock hangs as intended on a single wall hook.
