Metamec was founded in Dereham, Norfolk in 1947 and grew to become the largest clock manufacturer in the United Kingdom, at their peak employing 750 workers and producing 350 different models across four decades. This piece dates from the 1970s–80s and carries all the hallmarks of the brand's confident, functional design — a clean two-tone dial, crisp Roman numerals, and a brass bezel that catches the light beautifully.
