A beautifully clean and refined vintage Seiko wall clock in extremely good condition — the QA211D, a square format piece from the 1980s that exemplifies the elegant minimalism Seiko brought to their domestic clock range during this era.

The chamfered gold-tone frame with its bevelled profile catches the light from every angle, framing a silvery-white textured dial with raised gold-tone baton hour markers and fine minute indicators. The "SEIKO Quartz" signature sits cleanly on the dial. The original slim hands are retained and have been paired with a new quartz movement — giving the clock the benefit of precision modern timekeeping while preserving the authentic character of the original design. In extremely good vintage condition throughout.

28cm wide × 27cm tall (11 × 10.5 inches). New quartz movement, original hands. Ready to hang.

Seiko — Japan's Greatest Clockmaker

Seiko was founded in Tokyo in 1881 and has been at the forefront of precision timekeeping ever since — the company that produced the world's first quartz watch in 1969 and the official timekeeper of the Olympic Games for decades. Their domestic clock range of the 1970s and 1980s brought the same engineering culture to the living room, producing pieces of genuine quality and considered design that have aged exceptionally well.

The QA211D square gold-tone clock represents Seiko at their most refined in domestic form — a clock that draws on the design language of the era without being enslaved to it. The textured dial gives it a depth and sophistication that flat-dial equivalents lack, and the chamfered gold-tone frame sits comfortably alongside both period and contemporary interiors. Seiko clocks of this quality are actively collected and increasingly hard to find in this condition.
