Seiko — Japanese clockmaking since 1881

Seiko began life in 1881 when Kintarō Hattori opened a watch and jewellery shop in Tokyo. The company started producing timepieces under the Seikosha name in 1892, beginning with wall clocks before expanding into pocket watches and, eventually, the wristwatches that made Seiko a household name worldwide. Over a century later, Seiko remains one of the most trusted and recognisable names in horology.

Glossy black, gold, and a flash of red

This model brings genuine glamour to a simple wall clock — a deep glossy black dial sets off bold gold Arabic numerals in a confident Art Deco-style font, while the gold-finish case is trimmed with a fine red line that lifts the whole design.
