Genuine vintage Silicon Clock wall clock by Tokyo Tokei, made in Japan — an imposing 10 inch piece with classic mid-century railway styling. The bold red case houses a 9 inch dial with crisp black Arabic numerals on a clean silver face, signed "4 Jewels, Tokyo Tokei, Japan" beneath the centre.
Tokyo Tokei's "Silicon Clock" range is well known among collectors of Japanese mid-century design — these were among the early jewelled-movement clocks made in Japan before Seiko came to dominate the market. A new quartz movement has been fitted for accurate, reliable timekeeping, with new hands styled to match the originals.
