Coalport Blue Revelry — a discontinued collectors' pattern

Coalport was founded in Shropshire in 1795 by John Rose and grew to become one of England's most celebrated fine bone china manufacturers — supplying the tables of European aristocracy and receiving royal patronage before being acquired by Josiah Wedgwood & Sons in 1967. The Blue Revelry pattern was produced from 1970 to 1993 before being discontinued — its delicate neoclassical blue and white design with gold embellishments and scrollwork remains actively sought by collectors replacing or completing sets, and by those drawn to its quietly elegant Victorian-inspired character.

The clock

The Blue Revelry plate has been sympathetically fitted with a Metamec quartz movement, transforming a beautiful piece of English bone china into a fully functional wall clock without compromising the plate's decorative appeal. The Roman numerals are integral to the original Coalport design — making this a particularly well-suited example for conversion.
