Diamond Mechanical Table Clock – Green Dial, NOS Original Box, 1980s

A striking and unusual vintage mechanical table clock by Diamond — Made in China, new old stock, unused and complete in its original factory box. The deep forest green dial is the most dramatic of the three colourways this model was produced in, and against the highly polished chrome curved case it has a jewel-like richness that photographs brilliantly.

The case is a wide rectangular form with a convex glass front, curved edges and two spur feet — a design that sits confidently on a desk, mantelpiece or shelf. The dial carries bold square dot hour markers at each position with radiating line indices, numerals at 12 and 6 only, and the Diamond brand logo with the Chinese characters for Made in China at centre. Three gold hands — hour, minute and second hand — complete the composition. The movement housing on the reverse is pressed steel finished in matching green.

The mechanical movement winds and runs with an audible tick — a proper wind-up clock, not battery operated. The original factory box is present and adds significantly to the display and collector appeal of the piece.
