Westclox built a significant manufacturing presence in Dumbarton, Scotland, producing clocks for the British domestic market throughout the mid-20th century. This cushion-shaped kitchen clock is a classic example of that era — practical, well-made, and designed to bring a little colour into everyday kitchens across Britain.

A soft, sunny dial with genuine period character

The cushion-shaped white moulded plastic case has a chrome bezel and curved acrylic lens, framing a warm yellow dial with a cream centre, classic dot minute markers, and bold black Arabic numerals with a red sweep second hand for a pop of colour. Originally mains-powered, the clock has been converted to a new quartz movement, with a stepped seconds hand and new hands sympathetically matched to the originals, keeping the clock's period character intact while making it genuinely practical for everyday use.

At 8.25 x 8 inches, this is a compact, characterful kitchen piece — the kind of clock that brings genuine warmth to a wall without dominating the space.
